soupe aux choux or soupe au choux: Do You Want to Give a Better Back Massage? – soupe au chou

by Andrew on

Many menn and women like getting a massage but very few people feel comfortable providing a massage to someone else. Most people are usually afraid of hurting someone else. We are scared that we might not help enough. We are concerned that the person getting the massage won’t like what we’re doing. The good news is that you can learn how to give a great massage every time you wish to do so. The following are several tips on how to give an amazing back massage.

The first thing that you need to do is be sure that the person you’re giving a massage is comfortable when he or she lies down. They need to be laying down on a surface that is firm yet soft. You don’t need a table but try having them lie down on the bed. If they are on your floor, put down a mat or some soft blankets or towels so that they will feel more at ease. If the person wishes to remain clothed (and many will), make sure that the shirt they are wearing is made of soft material so there won’t be as much friction or scratching.

Start out with the basic rub. Use the full flat side of both hands to rub from the base of the back toward the neck (do this in a slow manner). Put a little pressure into this but do not use full massage pressure yet. Start out at the base of the back and glide your hands up, along either side of the backbone toward the neck then across the shoulders and back down the back. As you keep doing this, make your loops smaller and smaller so that you can be sure to cover the entire back.

Try using the heels of your hands to make good and direct pressure. Move the heels of your palms in small circles starting in the middle of the base of the back and then working out toward the sides, upwards and then back toward the spinal column until you’ve done this to the whole back.

Sit at the side of the individual who is receiving the massage. Then, position one hand on top of the other and push into the back a little bit using your fingers. Get start at the spinal column and push steadily and with good pressure across the back away from the spinal column and then lightly sort of move your hands back across the back toward the spinal column and move upwards. Repeat this process as you work up the back and then repeat on the person’s other side.

Work out the spinal column. Starting out with the base of the spinal column, work your way up each of the sausage like sinews on either side of the spinal column by rubbing in little circles with a couple of fingers or your thumbs. Rub each node at least five times each so that you can work up a bit of friction. Rub all the way up one side of the back and then rub the other side.

Something that you need to keep in mind as you use every one of these techniques is that it is best to re-relax the person between each part of the massage that you give. This means that after using the heels of your hands for specific applied pressure, you need to go back to the rub you used at the beginning for a few minutes.

The recipes we have tried (so far) in this cookbook about soupe aux choux have all been very tasty, very pleasing to the eye, and easy to prepare. Everything has been prepared in under 30 minutes. It doesn’t seem like “diet” food, it just is good food. We would recommend adding this cookbook to your collection.
I’ve been trying out recipes for the last two weeks and they just keep getting better. They are easy to make and done quickly. And even better, they taste great. Lots of flavor using fresh vegetables and herbs. Excellent book!
This is by far their best soupe au choux book. At the beginning of the book, there is an A – Z glossary for the ingredients of all the books. This helps me when I need to shop and the helpful hints are awesome. The recipes are easy and so darn good. I do not feel like I am on a DIET! This book definitely helps me maintain my new “lifestyle” and I just hope they keep these types of books coming!
I am ordering a second copy of this book because I have worn out my first copy! Try the recipes even if they seem a little different from what you’re used to eating. The food is FULL of flavor and we find ourselves satisfied with far less food. I guess satisfying your taste buds makes a big difference in how much food you feel you need to eat at a meal to get up feeling good.
My food-loving husband never complains when I use these recipes to prepare soupe au chou, in fact he is full of compliments. We haven’t used the word ‘diet’ with these meals. I haven’t even tried the Phase 3 recipes because Phases 1 and 2 are so delicious.
I was so glad to see that all 3 phases of the diet are addressed in this book. I have enjoyed many recipes. Definitely worth the money!
