Eat More Meals, Lose More Weight?

by Rachel Turner on

At each meal, your body is only able to utilize a certain amount of calories for energy. People who eat fewer meals everyday also have a harder time maintaining a healthy weight because they often eat more calories at each meal then their bodies can use. Any excess calories which is not being utilized will be stored as fat for later use.

The trick to get rid of belly fat is not just to eat more meals, but rather to spread your meals evenly throughout the day.

Eat your meals to the point where you are no longer feeling hungry, but not to the point where you are feeling really full. This is the best way to maintain a healthy weight.

Also, you must always make sure your meals contain a good combination of protein, carbohydrates, fats & fibers.

Here is a rough guideline of what you should be eating at each meal:
- 30% Protein
- 40% Carbohydrates
- 30% Healthy Fats
- 5-10 grams of fiber

When you combine these macro nutrients and add fiber to your food, the digestion time is increased and your body is able to absorb the food more steadily over a longer period of time minimizing fat storage.

Now that you know this, start breaking your large meals into smaller portions and watch your weight begin to drop.

Until next time,

Rachel

I’ve been trying to lose weight for years. Actually I have over and over again. It gets old. :( I’m going to try another diet plan, but I’m not sure which one. Have any of you tried the Every Other Day Diet or the Diet Solution Program? If so, how did it work for you?
